How can artificial intelligence help your business? Hear from speakers including Martha Tsigkari, senior partner, head of applied research and development at Foster + Partners, at our free AI in architecture webinar on 1 November

Run in association with Deltek, the Technology in Practice: AI in architecture webinar is taking place at 2pm on Wednesday 1 November.

Tsigkari will be joined by Keir Regan-Alexander, principal of Arka Works; Pablo Zamorano, head of geometry and computational design at Heatherwick Studio; and Bret Tushaus, vice president, product management at Deltek.

AI is poised to be a massive game-changer in all aspects of business – and the architecture profession is no exception.

For the first time, AJ100 practices were surveyed about their use of AI/machine learning as part of our annual survey. And from a standing start, 44 per cent are already using it to some extent.

In this business-critical webinar, we’ll consider:

  • How and why are practices using AI – what are they doing now?
  • How can AI help you in your business – in a practical capacity?
  • What are practices doing to skill up in this area?
  • What are practices planning for in terms of AI?
  • Where are the business opportunities – and what are the risks?

Tsigkari is head of applied research and development at Fosters, a group pursuing state-of-the-art research in different fields, from complex geometry to machine learning. She is a specialist in a wide range of areas including performance-driven design and optimisation, interfaces and interaction, design-to-production and fast feedback and integration.

Regan-Alexander is an architect with more than 15 years of professional practice in London. His new creative consultancy Arka operates with one foot in traditional architectural practice and one in active software development.

Since joining Heatherwick Studio in 2015, Zamorano has been instrumental in its projects and the geometry and computational design group. He works across all studio projects, providing expertise and guidance on new technologies and techniques, and the execution of challenging geometries.

Tushaus joined Deltek in September 2010 and focuses on ways enterprise resource planning and other technology solutions can solve organisations’ operational pain points. Prior to joining Deltek, he spent 15 years at Eppstein Uhen Architects as a vice president. There he oversaw all IT functions within the firm and played an integral role in managing its strategic development and business operations.
