Two developers were nominated by two practices apiece, Grosvenor by both Buckley Gray Yeoman and Barr Gazetas, and MEPC by Howells and Sheppard Robson.
Another developer, The Office Group (TOG), was put forward by dMFK Architects, which is working on its ninth project for the workplace specialist.
Haworth Tompkins has nominated Nick Starr at the London Theatre Company, its client on The Bridge Theatre and the Lightroom immersive art venue. The practice previously worked with him at the National Theatre and Almeida.

Three public sector clients make the shortlist. Historic England has been nominated by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, which recently completed the 15-year restoration of Flaxmill Maltings in Shrewsbury for the heritage organisation.
London Borough of Waltham Forest was nominated by Hawkins\Brown, which is restoring the borough’s Grade II-listed Town Hall. The practice praised the council for its long history of commissioning high-quality design projects.
BakerHicks nominated the Scottish Prison Service for its ‘willingness to push the boundaries of design and innovate’.
Last year’s AJ100 Client of the Year was developer Canary Wharf Group, which won for its growing commitment to sustainability as part of mixed-use living and workplace developments.
The winners of all the AJ100 awards will be announced in June.
