Studio/unit brief Integrating Comprehensive Design
Project title Jamie’s Farm – Integrated Communities

Project description The charity Jamie’s Farm tackles social and academic inclusion. The brief was for a residential experience that combines farming, family and therapy to re-engage disadvantaged young people with education. The masterplan looks at reintegrating the neighbourhood with its urban fabric and nearby canal while creating a hierarchy of multidimensional gardens. The site provides a range of spaces, from the spacious barn, classroom and kitchen to outdoor areas.

Tutor citation Abrar’s approach was a modest and humane reaction to a complicated set of issues, creating something colourful and fun to inspire rather than intimidate. Olive White
